I had just finished my remote work day when I got a text from Amelia asking me to come over. She told me that Wade and his friends bought a couple blow-up kiddie pools and they were hanging out in the back yard. "That's weird," I thought, but I went anyway. Little did I know, that would be the day I met my future husband. After that day, Collyn and I spent pretty much every night at "Wrigley's house" not wanting to admit that it wasn't because we wanted to hang in the kiddie pools. Finally, one night Collyn put his arm around me, and the rest is history.
On our third anniversary, in the same backyard where we met, Amelia and Wade were hosting a movie night with family and friends. As soon as Collyn got up and gave a speech, I knew something fishy was going on. The "movie" on the projector turned out to be a slideshow with pictures of us throughout our relationship. The last slide said "Will you marry me?" and of COURSE I said yes!
