What an awesome little airport we have here in Austin. Pro tip: there is really good, local food in there. We would suggest the famous Salt Lick for BBQ (headquartered in Driftwood if you get a chance), Tacodeli for breakfast tacos, Amy's Ice Cream (get the Mexican vanilla), Jo's for coffee and Haymaker for a beer. HEADS UP: if you are traveling through FRONTIER or ALLEGIANT they are located in the south terminal. That is NOT part of the main airport and while it looks close, it takes about 15 minutes if you make the mistake of arriving at the wrong airport and you will be mad.

There is no hotel block here. This is a great new hotel. They have a beautiful bar called P6. Its right across the Congress bridge from the Hyatt Regency. They also have a taco shop called Veracruz thats right under it. Get the migas taco. Even if you think you arent a migas person.

If you wanted to rent a house out in the hill country you can book directly and skip HomeAway and VRBO's booking fees using this site. For reference, downtown Dripping Springs to downtown Wimberley is roughly 16 miles, and 20-25 minutes.
