To our out-of-towner family and guests— When choosing our wedding dates, we thought July 5th would be easier for those who have a long drive , because who wouldn't take Friday July 5th off work, anyway, right? It's between July 4th and the weekend. We realized AFTER we finalized the dates for our wedding that hotels would be pricier for our wedding weekend because it's a holiday weekend. For guests attending the Betrothal in Elkins and looking for a hotel the night of Friday July 5th, we strongly recommend the Tygart Hotel! It's downtown, close to our venue, and close to all the fun things in Elkins. Not to mention it's a historic, locally owned boutique hotel. There is a $10 historical fee added to the rate, but other than that, the rates are pretty much the same as the other hotels in Elkins and it's much nicer.
