I always told myself I wouldn't get on a dating app, until one day I decided to see what Bumble was all about. I had three requirements for what I was looking for: cute, loves Jesus and wears a suit. When I came across Tyler and saw he was cute and had a suit on I was immediately intrigued, so I swiped right and hoped for the best. When we matched I took a chance and messaged him...it took him almost three days to reply. Once he finally replied we messaged back and forth for a few days, in fact within five messages he asked me if I attended a church in the area, that's when I knew he was special and that I wanted to get to know him. We messaged for a few days before he asked for my number. When he texted me he asked if I was free the next night, I told him no and he willingly waited until the next weekend. Our first date was at Cheesecake Factory in Fort Worth, and we immediately hit it off. From the start talking to him was like talking to a long lost best friend. One of my favorite memories is from my 22nd birthday, I had just moved into my house and I didn't have any living room furniture. He came over and brought three kinds of ice cream and two of my favorite frozen pizzas and we sat on the floor and talked for hours. There is never a dull moment when Tyler is around, he can make anyone and everyone laugh and never fails to make those he talks to feel special.
On December 21st Tyler and I were going to take pictures at the Botanic Garden in Fort Worth. He told me these pictures were for our parents for Christmas. We took pictures for about 30 minutes before we got to Tyler's favorite part of the garden, The Japanese Garden. When we got there we took several walking pictures, when we got to the fourth try at these pictures I was starting to get annoyed that we kept redoing the same picture. I started walking ahead of him when he told me to turn around and look at something. When I turned around he was on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said "YES!" After pictures we went to our favorite restaurant, Social House and then he said we would go back to his house to hang out before dinner with his parents, then drive to Dallas to see mine. When we got to his house his mom opened the door and to my surprise they had planned a surprise party with our family and closest friends! He made sure my college roommate and my childhood best friends were all there. It was such an amazing feeling to spend such an exciting time with my favorite people. It was truly a day I will never forget!
