The invite says Shelby Gardens, but Google says Shelby Banquet Center? Is this the same place?

Answer

Yes! New ownership changed the name right after invites were printed (typical!) but it is still on 50265 Van Dyke Ave in Shelby Township.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Arrive at 3:30pm to ensure you are on time for the ceremony at 4pm.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Only two rules; we humbly ask that no one wears white and no casual wear (jeans, graphic t-shirts, etc..) We would love everyone to look their best as we all celebrate together. Our colors are purple and blue if you would like to match us.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 1st, 2026. If you do not RSVP in time, we may need to give your spot to someone else to have the minimum amount of people for the room.

Can I bring a plus one and/or kids?

Answer

Unless it specifically states on your invitation that you have that option, you CANNOT bring any additional people because we have a limited capacity of how many people we can have.

What dinner options will there be?

Answer

Dinner options will be updated here by the beginning of April. For any with special dietary restrictions, please reach out to us as we have options for you. There are vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options available. This does require an additional charge on our end, so we ask that only those that have dietary restrictions choose this option. All selections must be selected and relayed to us by April 15th to ensure that the venue can accommodate the special dishes.

Is there a registry?

Yes, but in lieu of a traditional registry, we would be incredibly grateful for contributions toward our future home and family. Your generosity will help us as we begin this exciting new chapter together. Cash or checks made out to Collin Hanson & Serena Salsido would be deeply appreciated. More info in the Registry link.

Will there be a bridal shower?

Yes, there will be a PowerPuff girl themed bridal shower on January 25th, 2026. Make sure to wear your PowerPuff pink, green, or blue! See "Schedule" tab for more information.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Indoors, but we may take pictures outside.

What is the parking like?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking in front of the building. There is also free parking in the back of the building, which will be better for those who may need to use the elevator.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, if you use a wheelchair or need similar accommodations there is easy access to the elevator from the back of the building.
