Our story is one about two people meant to find each other. We were lucky enough to meet through mutual friends. After hanging around in a group setting a few times, Cate chose one night on Mitch's iconic balcony to "hyperfixate" on Collin and figure out who this guy was. After talking for a while, we'd drank enough beers to decide to try the latest Tik Tok dance trend. This involved us holding hands and Collin leaning back and trying to balance as Cate tried to balance and stand on his thighs. As all of you probably know our balance and coordination abilities, you can probably guess that this didn't end up well. Cate took a slight fall, which didn't seem bad at the time, but ended up breaking her heel. Of course, it was Collin's fault, so he needed to be blamed. That fateful injury created a shared bond, which lead to talking and eventually going out to drinks (which Collin considered a date and Cate didn't). That date led to more; drinks at Eagle Park, nachos at Steny's, walks with Mabel, and Adam and Whitnie's wedding- joked about as our "first date." Soon we began to spend every day together. Cate bought her house and Collin moved in a year after. After that, we really did spend almost every second of every day together, making the house our own and even adding Olive to the family. Finally, after only mentioning rings and marriage once or twice, Collin proposed to Cate in the Mequon Nature Preserve. An old Romano's Pizzeria worker was there with his camera and Thomas was stationed on the other side taking a video. To Collin's surprise, Cate had no idea the proposal was coming that day. After Collin got Cate to put her phone away, he knelt to ask the big question, to which Cate responded "Right here? Right now?" and eventually added "Yes" to forever with each other.
