Collin and Abby met in September of 2024 after being set up by Abby's family friend and Collin's boss at the time. Collin was working on a food truck during the summer months when he wasn't teaching, and his boss happened to know Abby since she was a little girl. Collin and Abby went on their first date shortly after exchanging phone numbers, and the rest was history! Collin and Abby's first date included a romantic evening at Cooper's Hawk Winery, followed by a trip to the car wash, a drink at the cocktail lounge "Secret Admirer," and finally, a drive to the top of a parking garage to admire the Des Moines city skyline. Collin and Abby chose to take some of their engagement photos at the Secret Admirer and the top of this parking garage to remember just how important both these locations were in shaping their love towards one another.
