I thought he was a cute "suggested friend" on Facebook, so I added him! Not thinking much about it, the next day I had an Instagram friend request from the cute guy I added the day prior. As you could imagine, Collin's first words to me were "you should let me take you fishing sometime".. fitting right? Since then, we have been truly inseparable. I remember calling my mom and best friend as soon as I got home from our first date, telling them I was going to marry him one day! He gave me butterflies that I had never felt, and was a true gentleman. I knew there was something special about him and I wanted to learn everything there was to know about him. From our first date (where he got Bentley's approval), to our first apartment, to living in a new state and all of the in between, our love for another has grown stronger day by day. I am so thankful for that silly Instagram message that started it all!

I had never met Casey in person, but I knew of her from social media. I wasn’t sure if she had a boyfriend or not, so I decided to take my chance and send her a message. I sent her a message about taking her out on the boat one day, and that seemed to do the trick. After she messaged me back, I asked for her number, and we started talking every day. I asked if she wanted to go to dinner one night and she said yes. At the time, it was hot outside and my truck’s AC had quit working.. so I asked my mom if I could drive her car because I didn’t want to pick Casey up in my truck with no AC and sweat our assess’ off. I stopped and grabbed some flowers on my way to pick her up. I didn’t normally take flowers on the first date, but something told me this was going to be different. I pulled into her apartment complex and told her I was there. Moments later, I saw her walking down the steps and my life changed forever. I saw the most beautiful woman I had ever seen come down those steps. I got out of the car to introduce myself and give her a hug, but she had other plans… She quickly dodged my hug and walked to the other side of the car. I quickly met her on the other side of the car to open her door. When she dodged my hug and walked straight to the car, I thought to myself, well this is awkward… We got in the car and headed to dinner which was supposed to be at The Boathouse. Upon arrival, they told us that they had no power and wouldn’t be able to seat us. I quickly thought of another nice restaurant right down the street called The Hard Sell. Luckily, they were able to seat us without a reservation. That night, we shared a great meal, lots of laughs, and feelings that I had never felt on a first date. I kept the receipt from that dinner and held onto it because I knew something was different about her, and I was quickly starting to have feelings and butterflies in my stomach. She was the one, I knew right then and there she was the one I was meant to be with, and I pursued that feeling and fell in love with her. Since then, I have continued to fall in love with her every single day, and we have built an amazing life together.
