We’re getting married!

Kayla and Alex first met their Junior and Senior years of high school. Initially, they were introduced through mutual friends one night at Journey Community Church, on a Wednesday night. They quickly began chatting daily, and spending time together with our group of friends. After a few short months, they quickly became the best of friends. April came around, and they both worked the Masters tournament in 2019. Alex would walk all the way to the other side of the course (with no phone btw) hoping to see Kayla for a few moments every single day. They would eat lunch together, watch some golf, and then get together after leaving each day. They owe all their thanks to that week that propelled their relationship to dating just a week later. Since April 15th, 2019, they have been through it all. From countless golf tournaments, Kayla graduating high school, doing long distance for a year, then Alex joining her at Georgia Southern, they have been inseparable ever since. After Kayla graduated in May 2023, they had made plans for her to go to Statesboro to visit Alex (living their for an internship), to celebrate Kayla's birthday, or so she thought... Alex had planned a special day and had given her very little details other than they were going to Savannah for the day (a very common trip for them). He took her to visit Wormsloe Estate where they were "greeted" by a photographer that wanted to take a few photos. Once she turned around, to her surprise, he had popped the question. Their families came from hiding in the woods to greet us, and her best friends were waiting back in Statesboro to surprise her! June 3, 2023 will be a day they never forget.
