What is the attire?

Answer

The attire for our wedding is Cocktail! Ladies, please wear a colorful cocktail dress or jumpsuit. Gentlemen, a suit and tie—or a jacket and tie—is perfect. Cocktail hour will be held on grass, so please be mindful of your shoes!

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes, ferry transportation to and from Great Diamond Island will be provided. We have a ferry bringing all wedding guests from Casco Bay Lines Portland, ME to Diamond Cove, Great Diamond Island on August 8th at 3:00pm. After the reception, we will be getting on the 9:30pm ferry from Diamond Cove, Great Diamond Island back to Casco Bay Lines in Portland, ME. In terms of getting to/from the Cathedral, the Cathedral is about a 10-15 minute walk (5 minute drive!) from most downtown Portland, ME hotels.

Will we be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will be indoors at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the cocktail hour will be outside of the tent on Great Diamond Island, and the reception will be under the tent on Great Diamond Island.

Are children welcome to attend the wedding?

Answer

We love your children dearly and adore being known as “Aunt Bean and Mr. Tommy”! For our wedding day, we’re keeping the celebration to our invited adult guests. Thank you so much for understanding, and we cannot wait to be together!
