FAQ

Everything you need to know before you show up looking good and ready to party!
Question

I’ve never been to a gay wedding before, are they different?

Answer

Not at all! It’s still a wedding, just with two brides, a lot of love, and probably a very full dance floor. The only thing we ask is that everyone celebrating with us supports our marriage and the life we’re building together. We’re getting married on the 12-year anniversary of the landmark Obergefell v. Hodges decision, which federally legalized same-sex marriage, making this moment even more meaningful to us. If that’s not something you feel comfortable celebrating, we understand your decision to respectfully decline and appreciate your well wishes from afar.

Question

What’s the attire for the wedding?

Answer

Black Tie Optional — think sharp suits with ties, chic gowns, or elevated jumpsuits. Timeless and elegant, but not overly formal. Please refrain from white or cream dresses and burgundy suits. For inspiration, you can view our Dress Code tab on the wedding website!

Question

Are there any colors that I should avoid wearing?

Answer

Skip white, cream, ivory, green, and burgundy/maroon. Please leave those shades to the brides, the bridal party, and the vino!

Question

What is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

Kindly RSVP no later than May 21, 2027 via the RSVP tab on our wedding website. No RSVP by then means we’ll sadly assume you won’t be able to join us.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We hope you enjoy a date night on us! Children will be accommodated on an invitation-only basis.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We wish we could invite everyone’s favorite people, but space is limited. Your invitation will let you know if a plus-one is included when you RSVP.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow yourself ample time to find your seat.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All the magic happens at Piazza Messina! If the weather cooperates, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will move indoors to keep the party going.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

A shuttle will be provided for guests staying at Hotel A, with service to and from the venue. Guests not staying at Hotel A can park at the venue, but we recommend using Uber/Lyft so you can let your hair down!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for details of our hotel block.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for you to be fully present during the ceremony, so leave the photos to our pro. Once cocktail hour starts, feel free to take all the pictures you want!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Sip, celebrate, repeat! The open bar is on us (the hangover is on you), and we’ll have a signature mocktail plus non-alcoholic options.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please include any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP.
