We would be very grateful for your prayers as we prepare for marriage! O Sacred Heart of Jesus, look upon those preparing for marriage. Send the Holy Spirit to open their hearts to your love so that, with honesty and selflessness, they may be strengthened to receive the Father’s sacred design. Through their spousal love, may they bear witness to your abiding faithfulness. Obtain for them the grace to live the gift of fertility and to reject all that contradicts it. May they honor the Creator’s plan that they be “one flesh” for the “whole of life,” and become generous stewards of new life. Billy's Cafe
This is our favorite diner. Delicious breakfast food, large portions, friendly waitresses, and cash-only! We ate here right after Omar proposed.
Taqueria Tijuana
This is arguably the best Mexican restaurant in Omaha. The International Bakery across the street is also fantastic.
Roast
This was where we went on our first date two days after we met. Wonderful coffee and a nice outdoor seating area.
St. Cecilia Cathedral
We met here at a Catholic Young Adult event in July 2024. It is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Omaha. It offers a quiet place to pray, along with amazing architecture and sacred art.
Henry Doorly Zoo
The Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo has been voted the best zoo in the country for the last three years. We visited to celebrate Omar's birthday the first year we were dating. We went in January, which meant we were running from one indoor exhibit to another! August will be a much better month to visit for the outdoor exhibits, but make sure to prioritize the jungle and aquarium!
Lauritzen Gardens
This is a beautiful garden space with a great place for kids to play. The summer is the best time to visit!
