it's beautiful and they have live music and you can bring a picnic and Colleen really loves it even though Kevyn tells her to buy wine at the grocery store and sit in her own field and it's pretty much the same (it's not).
Great cocktails and live music in Downtown Franklin
REALLY GOOD MEXICAN FOOD. Colleen likes the taco loco, Kevyn gets Burrito Chupacabra, and definitely get the cheese dip.
Converted factory now houses tons of shops & restaurants and hosts a great Farmer's Market every Saturday morning. Our favorites are "Made in TN", "Five Daughter's Donuts" and "Honest Roasters"
Colleen worked here for like four months in high school but she's not bias. It's really good sushi and asian fusion. Kevyn gets the beef fried rice and Colleen get the wasabi crunch roll, strawberry salad and sweet potato fries. Every. Time.
The original is in Nashville but we think it's overrated and this one is better. This place is great for breakfast.
Fun distillery tours
The original. Grab lunch here, browse the antique shops around and check out the distillery close by after.
Not the original but still great southern cooking and music.
Great bakery and breakfast/lunch spot. Growing up Colleen came here a lot on late-start days at school. Her favorites: fruit tea, cherry pie, hashbrown casserole or chicken salad.
So... there's a lot of cliche sayings on wooden signs, wine vending machines and chocolate desserts. I'm not sure what's not to love.
Good burger and good whiskey. Kevyn and Colleen aren't really whiskey fans but they both drink it when they stop in here. Open later than most of the downtown Franklin spots.
So we've discovered all Steak n Shakes are not the same. This is one of the good ones. This is a good stop post-wedding party if you need one.
If you're big on history, this and Carnton Plantation are worth a visit. One of sites of the Civil War's battle of Franklin.
Tiki drinks
Really good farm to table food
Grab drinks here before or after Lockeland Table
Good area for walking around. Lots of murals to take photos (We love nashville) and good restaurants and shopping.
Fun bar and lounge area. Really good tasting restaurant in the back (reservations have to be made a month in advance)
Great rooftop bar
Restaurant, bar, vintage bowling
Bar with lots of arcade games
The closest thing Nashville has to "the basement" in Atlanta. Go dance and drink there. It's also real cute.
