Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Colleen Patricia Henegan and James Henry Feely IV
We are excited to have our wedding in Spring Green, Wisconsin - a gorgeous town about 45-50 minutes outside of Madison. Below is a list of things to do in both Spring Green and Madison!
Taliesin

Taliesin

5481 County Road C, Spring Green, WI 53588

Spring Green was the inspiration behind much of Frank Lloyd Wright's work. It informed the way he viewed the relationship between his buildings and the environment in which they were built. Seeing Taliesin is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon :)

American Players Theatre

American Players Theatre

5950 Golf Course Road, Spring Green, WI 53588

The American Players Theater is an internationally-renowned professional theater situated on 110 acres of hills and meadows in Spring Green. It also happens to be the second-largest outdoor theater in the United States! Our wedding is on their final weekend for the season, so you can catch a show before they close for the winter (just not on that Saturday, obviously).

The House on the Rock

The House on the Rock

5754 Wisconsin 23, Spring Green, WI 53588

One of the most visited tourist attractions in Wisconsin. Also, a bit hard to describe. Definitely worth a visit! They also have a resort and golf course if you'd like to stay in Spring Green for the weekend.

Tower Hill State Park

Tower Hill State Park

5808 County Road C, Spring Green, WI 53588

Tower Hill State Park can be found in Spring Green, along with some beautiful stretches of the Wisconsin River! You can go canoeing/kayaking with a local vendor or enjoy a scenic hike in the park to take in the fall foliage.

Dane County Farmers' Market

Dane County Farmers' Market

2 East Main Street, Madison, WI 53703

Check out the largest producers-only farmers market in the United States! The market runs from 6:15am – 1:45pm on Saturday in Downtown Madison at the Capitol Square. A great place to get maple syrup, cheese curds, and other Wisconsin essentials.

University of Wisconsin–Madison Arboretum

University of Wisconsin–Madison Arboretum

1207 Seminole Highway, Madison, WI 53711

One of our favorite spots in Madison! The Arboretum includes over 1,200 acres of conserved land, including the nations oldest restored tall grass prairie. A gorgeous place to visit in the fall - you can say hi to the sandhill cranes as the migrate back down south, or to the turkeys and bald eagles that call it home.

For all the days along the way
