yeah mon!! US is accepted everywhere you go, there is no need to change to Jamaican Dollars.
What should I bring/pack?
PASSPORT, sunscreen, bug spray, medication, swimwear, sunglasses, lip balm, and your A-game!

Yes, this is accepted at most established places. Advise your credit card company you be will traveling to Jamaica. if they do not know you are traveling, they may block the transaction as they will assume your card has been stolen
