Some years ago, Brian and I worked together at Health Market Science on a small, tight-knit innovation team. We each respected the other's talent and drive. A couple of years ago, we reconnected when Brian reached out about a job opening at his company. A new friendship turned into dating and... now here we are!
On a Tuesday night in late May, Brian whisked me away to a surprise dinner at Valley Green. Before dinner, he asked me to go on a short walk. We climbed over some rocks to a spot just next to the Wissahickon. This, it turned out, was the exact spot his father had proposed to his mother 50 years earlier! There, he carried on the tradition and asked me to marry him.
As many of you know, Brian and I got married this May in beautiful St. Michaels, MD. It was a small, intimate ceremony, which our dear friend Jennifer did an incredible job officiating. As lovely as our civil wedding was, it pained us that so many dear family and friends could not be part of it. So we decided to throw a party! And, as faith has also become an important part of our life together, we decided to pursue the Catholic sacrament of marriage as well. We hope you can all join us for the ceremony and the party!
