This beautiful hotel is the home to the world famous Memphis ducks! These little friends march from their duck palace to the lobby pond everyday at 11 AM and 5PM. Enjoy a cocktail with a rubber ducky or a coffee while you watch the duck march! We recommend arriving around 10:30 am or earlier to grab a seat in the lobby!
Beale Street
Enjoy some live blues music on Beale street. (We love the fried pickles at BB Kings)
Graceland
The perfect attraction for our guest who love all things Elvis. Take a tour of Elvis's home!
Sun Studio
Take a tour at the "Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll". Famous for launching the careers of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis!
Stax Museum of American Soul Music
Take a tour at Stax Studio. A Memphis soul label that brought us songs like "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" (Otis Redding)
Memphis Zoo
We love the Memphis Zoo! Definitely high on our list of recommendations! The Memphis Zoo is home to Red Pandas, Capybaras, Pere David's Deer and Komodo Dragons (and more)! Take a ride on the zipline and enjoy the petting Zoo!
Southern Vintage Co
Brian and I love to spend our Saturdays at thrift stores and estate sales. This is one of our favorites. Other thrift stores we love are "Sheffield Antiques" and "Quantum Antique Gallery".
Sheffield Antiques Mall
Another one of our favorite antique shops! This one is unique as it has a tea shop/restaurant in the back of the store. Enjoy some high tea after looking through old treasures!
Shelby Farms Park
We feel so lucky to have this park right near our home. Shelby farms is a beautiful park with many walking and hiking trails. Grab a coffee at "Belltower Coffeehouse" in the park and take a walk around the lake! Brain and Colleen love to take walks and picnic here!
The Beauty Shop
We love the Copper Young area. This artsy little neighborhood has fun little shops and great food. The Beauty Shop is a restaurant that has a delicious menu and has the funky vibes of an old school salon.
Central BBQ
This is one of our favorite places for Memphis BBQ. There are multiple locations around Memphis. We love to order the golden and jerk chicken wings, pulled pork nachos and ribs. Another BBQ restaurant of note is "The Bar-B-Q Shop" (this one is also right by a beautiful park called Overton Park and near the Zoo).
JoJo's Espresso
Colleen's favorite coffee shop! She loves to order the "Ham and cheese croissant", "The Nanny Quiche", "The Neshoba Bowl" with a "Dirty Chai" or a "Bourbon Vanilla Latte".
Huey's Collierville
Best burgers in Memphis! Colleen's favorite is the "Beyond Burger" and Brian's favorites are "The Bluff City Burger" and "The Smash Burger". (Multiple locations around Memphis)
Local Lime | Germantown
A fun upscale mexican restaurant! Brian loves the "Pacifico fried fish", "Curry fried shrimp" and "Ahi tuna" Tacos with the "Paloma Reserva"" Colleen loves the "Local Fresco Bowl" with shrimp/chicken and the "Skinny Margarita"!
Bog & Barley Irish Pub
The best irish pub in Memphis with the bar flown in all the way from Ireland. Brian and Colleen's favorite are the "fish and chips". Colleen's favorite drink is the "Empress of Ireland" and Brian loves to try the different whiskeys from their impressive collection.
Sunrise Memphis (East Memphis)
Our favorite breakfast spot! (Multiple locations). Colleen's favorite thing to order is "The King Biscuit Bowl" and Brian's favorite is "The Chorizo Bowl ".
