FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code for the events?

Answer

For the wedding day attire is Black Tie We’d love to see our guests in elevated, floor-length looks that feel polished yet seasonally light. Ladies, we ask for ankle or floor-length dresses (no midis or cocktail lengths) — breathable fabrics such as silk, chiffon, crepe, taffeta, organza, lace, linen blends, or poplin are welcome for the Charleston heat, but keep the styling elevated. The events will be held outdoors with some grass so a block heel or wedge is recommended. Gentlemen, a tuxedo is preferred but a dark suit and tie is fine as well.

Question

How do I RSVP?!

Answer

Inside your invitation suite there is a stamped postcard. Please fill in the back and pop it in the mail with the flag up or drop it at a USPS!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family. In order to keep our guest list intimate, we kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend. If your invitation includes a guest by name, they are of course welcome—otherwise, we hope you’ll understand our decision to keep things small. Thank you for your love and support!

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Please note that transportation to and from the venue will not be provided. We recommend carpooling, scheduling an uber, or arranging other transportation to ensure everyone can join us on our special day. Charleston also has rickshaws available that you can call for pick up or schedule in advance, booking information https://charlestonrickshaw.com/#booking There is also limited on property parking available. For any drop offs or pickups make sure you specify that it is the River House gate at the end Sixth Street, many will go to the front gate at Lowndes Grove and we want to avoid you having to walk up there :)

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving to the ceremony no earlier than 4PM as our ceremony begins promptly at 4:30PM.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

While we adore your kids, we’ve decided to keep our wedding day a college+ event to allow everyone to relax and celebrate with us.
