We’re getting married!

Yes, it’s true! Joeliz and Arthur’s relationship began through a site called Christian Mingle. Newly single “2127aperez” and “missjoeliz” signed up for the trusty dating site. Little did they know that they would have a 100% compatibility match. They both said “yes” and swiped right! The rest, as you know it, is history. Alright, alright! Joeliz here! I'll tell you a little more... I was intrigued by the dating site being a Christian and all. I said to myself "Who does this? How there can possibly be decent man of God?" Well, in September of 2015 I gave it a shot and started browsing. More than anything I was interested in reading different profiles and checking to see if I can actually meet new people with the same values and possibly make new acquaintances. I was about seven profiles in when I saw a picture of a handsome guy with a big smile on his face holding a cake (it was his birthday). The profile was under the username of "2127aperez". I was already wondering what his name was. I scroll down and read, "Hello ladies, my name is Arthur." I was like "Um no, you mean 'Hello Joeliz my name is really Juan Arturo" LOL! This profile showed that it was at a 100% match with mine. I kept reading and I really liked his interests, his likes, and everything that he shared. I swiped right which means I agreed to communicate with him. It turns out that I got a notification that we both said yes! We began a chat on the site app. It constantly had technical issues and that ended up on another chat app. Until we gave in and exchanged phone numbers. We finally started speaking over the phone. We'd speak for hours at a time talking about all aspects of life. It was awesome getting to know someone so well just by listening and speaking over the phone. We first saw each other over the phone via Skype. After a couple of days he asked if I'd like to meet with him face to face, and I agreed.

Sunday, October 4, 2015 was a day that I reconnected with an old friend and went to church with her. Arthur and I had agreed to meet later that day. I remember being in service and receiving a call from him. I messaged him to let him know that I was at church, while he responded "I figured. I'm on my way to my church now too." I remember being so nervous, but excited at the same time. We met at a local Starbucks. He had me sit while he ordered our drinks. I had a tall iced white chocolate mocha and he had a tall iced pumpkin spiced latte. Sure pumpkin spice is the super trendy popular flavor of everything during fall, but Arthur didn't really mind that. He just asked "Do you have anything with pumpkin?" LOL! We would look at each other from across the cafe smiling with blushing cheeks like sixteen year old teens. It was like a cute romantic scene from a young love movie. He came and sat down in front of me, took a sip of his coffee, and said... "Well, this is me!" Hahaha. We walked outside and sat on a bench on the strip mall across the parking lot. We stayed there for a few minutes to chat. He walked me to my car, and we went our separate ways... That lasted a few minutes until we started talking on the phone again! LOL We spoke every single day. Then he finally asked me out on an official date.

Friday, October 9th he came to my house where he met my parents. My dad greeted him with "rules for dating my daughter". True story! Haha. We went on our merry way to have an Italian dinner. We enjoyed our meal cracking jokes and sharing laughs. That was followed by a romantic stroll at a local park. We sat down and spoke for a hours. It was just past midnight on Saturday, October 10th when he held my hand and asked me to be his girl. I said "I'd love to." We've been together ever since.

On Friday, November 9, 2018 we applied for our marriage license!!! We are one big step closer guys. We are too excited and can’t wait, but the day is upon us!!

Family and friends, we have found our first place! Thank God we found a real cute and lovely starter nest. Juan has already been there since move in date on Friday, November 16, 2018 with our fur baby, Seven. Of course, he had about three pairs of pants and two T-shirts while I’m going to STILL be moving my things in well after the wedding!! LOL We will begin sharing our space with each other once we’re married. Maybe then I’ll nag him about cleaning and he’ll whine about how I have too many things!! Haha. We’re always having such a good time with each other that we never argue. Yes, I know all of you wise couples are thinking to yourselves, “Oh you’re in your honeymoon stage!” Well, to be honest that is our goal for a lifetime. We have disagreements, but we resolve everything with love and respect. We simply communicate! One of the main reasons we’re getting married.

We can’t believe how quickly time has passed us by! We’re almost there. It’s the final countdown!! T minus how many days!!?? Woah!!
