Public transit: The A Line train runs from DEN to downtown Denver, though a rideshare is typically the easiest option for reaching the DU area. Parking Parking is available on or near the University of Denver campus. Guests should follow event parking signage and instructions. The University notes that parking regulations can vary during special events, so we'll provide final parking details closer to the wedding date. Denver Altitude Tip Denver sits at 5,280 feet above sea level. If you're traveling from a lower elevation: Drink extra water before and during your trip. Take it easy on alcohol your first day. Bring sunscreen - the Colorado sun is stronger than many visitors expect. Weather & Attire August in Denver can be beautiful but unpredictable. We recommend bringing a light jacket for the evening (especially if it rains). Do I need a rental car? If you're staying near the venue or in central Denver, a rental car is not necessary. Ride shares are plentiful, and transportation will be available between the hotel and venue (if you're providing a shuttle). Traveling from out of town?
