FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will denote if you have a plus one

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black-Tie Optional: Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required. For gentlemen, this can mean a tuxedo or a dark suit with a tie. For ladies, floor-length gowns, midi dresses, or elevated cocktail attire are all great options.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend 12:30 pm.

Question

How should I get to the ceremony?

Answer

We suggest ubering or taking lyft, as the reception will have an open bar! If you are staying at the Royal Sonesta (with our hotel block), you could also take the streetcar down Canal St directly to the church! A single one-way ride costs $1.25, and exact change is required. This will take about an hour, though, so you would need to leave the hotel around noon to make it to the ceremony on time. You also need to make sure that you board a streetcar that is "Canal Streetcar - Cemeteries," not "Canal Streetcar - City Park" or you will not be going to the church.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

St. Anthony of Padua has a free parking lot behind the church. The Capulet has free street parking around the venue.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a wedding registry! You can find all the details on the Registry page of our website!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

After the second line, we’ll continue the celebration with a stroll down Bourbon Street, bar-hopping our way back toward the hotel. We’ll end the night with a casual gathering in a Bourbon balcony suite — ask a member of the bridal party for the suite number if you’d like to join us!
