March is one of the busiest months in Key West. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.

Flight

EYW or MIA

The Key West Airport (EYW) is the most direct way to get to the island. With direct flights from Chicago, New York, and Boston, you can grab an Uber or Lyft and be 15 minute drive away from anywhere on the island. For those seeking the full Florida Keys experience, you can fly into Miami International Airport (MIA), rent a car, and drive down to Key West. This 3-4 hour drive is absolutely stunning, with plenty of opportunities for pit stops, including grabbing lunch at Morada Bay and feeding the tarpon at Robbie's Marina. The 113 miles of roadway from Key Largo to Key West includes over 40 bridges, offering breathtaking views over the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Florida Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico.

Hotel

Recommendations

Key West has many amazing hotels and bed and breakfasts. As long as you stay in downtown Key West, you will be five minutes away from everything. We highly encourage you to research options that best fit your budget and vibe. Below are some of our favorite spots. Bed and Breakfasts: Ambrosia Key West, The Gardens Hotel, The Artist House, Marquesa Hotel, Ridley House, Key West Harbor Inn Hotels: Lighthouse Hotel, The Marker, Pier House Resort & Spa, Opal Key Resort & Marina, Casa Marina, La Concha

House Or Rental

Airbnb or Vrbo

For more options, feel free to look into renting homes or apartments through Airbnb or Vrbo. Be cautious and use your best judgment when finding credible accommodations.

Rental Car

Transportation Options

If flying into MIA, a rental car will be required. When in Key West, a car will likely not be necessary as the island is one mile wide and most activities are within walking distance. If you would prefer transportation, you can rent a golf cart for the weekend and ride share options are always readily available. Be aware, parking in Key West is limited and not all hotels provide parking.
