Lauren and Colin met in March of 2015 at a St. Patrick’s Day Party in Milwaukee. Shortly after meeting, they went on their first date to a Milwaukee Bucks game. They spent the summer getting to know each other and falling in love. Only a few months after meeting, Lauren moved to Chicago to attend medical school and Colin spent every weekend crossing the state line to visit her and their adored cat, Joan. After 3 years of “long-distance” - only about 90 miles - Colin joined Lauren and Joan in Chicago and they rented their first apartment together. After completing medical school, they moved to Columbus, Ohio together. Over Thanksgiving weekend in 2020, Colin planned a trip to a beautiful state park in Ohio and invited both of their families. At the end of a hike and in front of a waterfall, Colin asked Lauren to marry him! The wedding venue, Glacier Hills County Park, perfectly fits Colin and Lauren - they love to spend time outdoors, especially exploring state and national parks! Lauren grew up taking their family dog for walks, snowshoeing with her mom and kayaking at Glacier Hills and it certainly holds a special spot in her heart. The ceremony and reception will be at Glacier Hills and a majority of the wedding day will be spent outside enjoying the beautiful park!
