Cascade Locks is a great little town just 40-ish minutes east of the PDX airport. Feel free to stay in Portland proper or venture further out into the beautiful Columbia River Gorge towards Hood River or The Dalles! There are lots of wonderful places to stay in and around the area, but if you are looking for some recommendations: 

The Best Western is close to the venue. If you are looking for something a little more fun, a short drive across the Bridge of the Gods will take you into Washington towards Wilder and Pine Riverside Cabins and Skamania Lodge. Be sure to check out Airbnb or other hosting sites for good options, too!
