The pair met briefly a few times when Colin was out with his work buddies that happened to include Hannah's older sister Elizabeth. They ultimately hit it off at a going away party that Elizabeth had planned for Colin's departure from their previous employer. Not being brave enough to get her number that evening, he Facebook messaged her that night. But when she didn't answer -- Colin decided to take Hannah's brother-in-law up on his offer to watch the Cardinal's playoff game that next night at Elizabeth & John's apartment with the hopes that Hannah would show up... Luck was on Colin's side when Hannah showed up. That night the four of them hit the town and hit the dance floor. Hannah just couldn't resist Colin's amazing dance moves. Hannah unintentionally planned a night out on the town Friday at the very pub that her and Colin met a couple years prior at his going away party. Re-living their first encounter with BBQ, beer, and karaoke...she was curious to why Colin wasn't drinking much, but she would soon find out the next morning. Weeks in advance, Hannah also unknowingly had the idea of a Bauer family BBQ at her and Colin's home in St. Louis the day that Colin planned to propose. Only Colin and Henry knew what was about to happen, but it was the most amazing coincidence that it worked out this way. On Saturday morning, Hannah, Colin and Lucy (their hound dog) were walking into Tower Grove Park to meet her brother and sister-in-law at the farmer's market before the rest of the Bauer clan arrived. Having the late night that she did at the karaoke bar... Hannah was running late and rushing them to get to the park. At the most beautiful stone and wrought iron gate entrance lined with beautiful lush green trees and flowers... Colin called her name to try and slow her down and get her to turn around. When she did, she found Lucy distracted by some treats strategically thrown into the grass, and Colin down on one knee. After the "Are you serious!?", "Is this real!?" there was a definitive "Yes!". Hannah was lucky enough to have her family and close friends there that evening with them at their home to celebrate one of the most perfect days!
