These spots are more casual than a sit down restaurant, but have both great food and drinks.
Boulevard Brewing Tours & Recreation Center
If you're looking for beer AND games, this is the spot. If you have not been introduced to Boulevard beer, you are definitely missing out. The tasting room is massive, and is the place you take your out of town friends. It is THE Kansas City brewery. They have shuffleboard on the top floor, and free tours.
Parlor
If we are headed to a concert, you can find us taking the scooters to Parlor for some dinner and drinks beforehand. This is a food court style food hall with good drinks and a really cool atmosphere. We love coming here with our friends. Food-wise, there's tons of variety, so there's something for everyone.
Crossroads Hotel
Just steps away from our home, this hotel is all the rage in the summer. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view --although not as cool as our balcony right next door :) Highly recommend. Also, the lobby bar/restaurant is a wonderful place for a drink and a snack too.
Brewery Emperial
When the weather is nice, this is great spot. They have a wonderful outdoor seating area where Erica loves to look at dogs. Good beer and eclectic food too.
City Barrel Brewery + Kitchen
A classic spot. Drinks: check. Great food: check. Really good IPA's and sours in particular.

Casual Animal Brewing Co
The wow factor for this place is twofold: for Erica it is the plants and for Colin it is the great beer selection. One of our favorites.
Double Shift Brewing Company
Look, this list is brewery-heavy. We get it. But Double Shift is fantastic, arguably the best beer in town.
Lifted Spirits Distillery
If you have a palette for hard alcohol and cool mixed drinks, this place is a great spot.

International Tap House - Crossroads
Great atmosphere. Great beer. Open late.
KC Wineworks
Guys. They have wine slushies.
Green Lady Lounge
If you wanna feel super cool and enjoy live jazz, Green Lady has got you. Two floors, two live bands, an awesome spot.
Up-Down KC
This place has mac and cheese pizza, drinks, and tons of arcade games. It's just a quick walk from our place. Get yourself some tokens and enjoy. Awesome outdoor spots too and a great beer selection.
Amigoni Urban Winery
Cool spot located in KC's West Bottoms area. Would wine here again.
Oak & Steel
Just up the road, a chill hangout for a beer (as if we didn't have enough options).
Tom's Town Distilling Co.
A great cocktail date night spot. A KC staple.

One of our first places we ever ate after moving to the Crossroads a few years ago. A weekend hangover staple. A wonderful coffeeshop with fantastic food.
Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery
This is an all time favorite. If we want to go to breakfast and coffee, this is THE spot. 3 floors high, this place also has the best bread in town.
PT's at the Crossroads
Conveniently located on Colin's walk to work, this is a great Saturday coffee spot. A weekend staple. Erica's order: Iced Lavender oat milk latte. Colin's order: Dirty chai latte

Probably our favorite restaurant in KC. Conveniently located in the same building as our wedding venue, Corvino is a must-go experience. Prepare to make a reservation.

Town Topic Hamburgers Broadway
If you've had drink or two and need a greasy late night meal, Town Topic has got you. They also have amazing breakfast at the location on Baltimore Street, which can seat about 10 people. The location on Broadway is the one for late night food, order at the window.

The memorial provides one of the best views of the city.
