Question
Will transportation be provided?
Answer
There will not be any transportation provided to and from the Boston Public Library, given its location in the city. All hotel room blocks are within walking distance of the venue, as are the Copley and Back Bay T stops. It is also easy to order an Uber or Lyft at any time in Boston if you are not staying at one of the hotel room blocks. Please input the address as 230 Dartmouth St. Boston MA 02116 in order to get dropped off at the McKim Building entrance.

Do I need to stay at one of the hotel room blocks?
Answer
No one is required to utilize any of the hotel room blocks! We understand many of you live close by and do not need to stay overnight. If you are staying overnight, there are many hotel options in Boston, in addition to the ones where we have room blocks, so please stay wherever you feel most comfortable.

What should I wear?
Answer
We invite you to join us in dressing up for this special and elegant occasion! We kindly request black-tie attire for our wedding. This means black tuxedos and floor length dresses (don't be afraid of colorful dresses - it's summer!)

Will there be parking at the Boston Public Library?
Answer
There is not parking at the BPL. If you wish to drive to the event, we recommend you park at the Back Bay Garage. There is a voucher on the garage website that you can scan if you park there on the weekends for under 11 hours - it comps the parking to $10. Directions: Enter the garage, get a ticket, and when you leave, you scan the ticket then the online voucher and pay. Are my children invited?
Answer
We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! We kindly ask that children do not attend the event.
Question
Is the wedding inside or outside?
Answer
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside in the courtyard, weather-permitting. Then we will move inside for dinner and dancing, which will be be upstairs in Bates Hall and the Abbey Room, respectively. If you require assistance traveling upstairs (guests will primarily utilize the Grand Staircase to move upstairs), there is an elevator available to guests, as well as wheelchairs provided by the BPL.
