We met at Courtney’s friend, Sophie’s, birthday party at a smoky bar in Denver, called Sputnik. Colin was not invited, but tagged along with Matt Baker, who was also not really invited. After hitting it off (despite the slight apprehension of Colin having the same name as Courtney’s brother) we made our way down South Broadway to a 90s music night. We danced all night to Third Eye Blind and Blink 182. Colin didn’t even mind Courtney’s terrible singing and Courtney didn’t care about Colin’s weird dance moves. Since then we have had countless dance parties and can’t wait for the ultimate dance party at our wedding (we’ll make sure to include some 90s music).
June 15 started out as a regular Saturday. We woke up, got ready and headed to our regular spot to play fetch with Benny. Half way through our game of fetch Colin knelt down to pick up the ball, except instead of the ball, he held up a little black box with a beautiful ring in it. Courtney, of course, said yes and we headed to brunch to celebrate. We walked into brunch to the surprise of both our families waiting for us. Colin had arranged for the greatest surprise, celebrating with our friends and family all weekend. We are so excited to continue this celebration and adventure with you in Panama!
