FAQs

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes — children are warmly welcome at our celebration. We know that traveling to northern Maine with little ones can be a big undertaking, and we completely understand whatever works best for your family. If your children will be joining you, please include their names and ages when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Question

How do we get to the lodge?

Answer

Guests will park at the dock located at the very end of Attean Road. This will take you down a road with a Private Property Sign- this is because the Island and Boat Ramp are privately owned- please proceed past them to the Boat Ramp. From there, a shuttle boat provided by Attean Lake Lodge will take you across the lake to the island. A few things to consider: The road to the Boat Ramp is partially unpaved so please plan accordingly We recommend arriving at the dock with extra time so you can catch the shuttle comfortably. The complimentary boat ride is a short 10ish minute ride in a comfortable pontoon boat and will be running regularly to bring guests to and from the lodge.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

We’re planning a relaxed, lakeside celebration. Dress in whatever feels comfortable and festive to you — just keep in mind the outdoor, island setting. You'll see a range of styles, from more dressed-up to more casual, so please feel at ease choosing what suits you best. We do recommend comfortable shoes and planning for variable Maine weather.
