Jenner is a small, quaint town where the Russian River meets the Pacific. Stop at Cafe Aquatica for a drink and/or food. Just north of the town, Salt Point State Park is a great stop to see some of the natural beauty of the area. The park features dramatic rock formations, epic cliffs, and hiking trails. Note: The Pacific Coast Highway is full of stop offs all along the way.
This little town has it all: redwoods, a beach, great food and drinks. For those looking to extend their trip, we would definitely recommend this as a stop. Some recommendations are: Armstrong Redwoods (beautiful redwood forest with a very accessible walkway throughout— double check that it is open); Johnson’s Beach (float on the river); Big Bottom Market (tasty salads/sandwiches and carries local beer and wine); and Guerneville Bank Club (an old bank transformed into a pie/ice cream shop and store).
