Airports

Flying into LAX: Santa Barbara is about a 2-hour drive from LAX if you choose to rent a car. You can also take Amtrak Surfliner or the Santa Barbara Airbus. Flying into SBA: The Santa Barbara Airport is a 15-minute Uber/Lyft into town. You can also rent a car, though you may not need it much once you're in town.

Train

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

Amtrak is a great option if you're coming from LA. The ride follows the coastline and takes about 1.5hrs. It leaves from Union Station (downtown LA) and drops you off in the Funk Zone of Santa Barbara. We recommend booking in advance. Please note: Union Station is 30 mins – 1 hour from LAX. You can take a FlyAway shuttle bus ($10) or Uber/Lyft (~$50) to Union Station if you are coming from LAX. FlyAway shuttles pick up in Arrivals. Uber/Lyfts are found in the "LAX-it" parking lot via terminal shuttle or walk.

Santa Barbara Airbus

Airbus is a good option if you're coming from LAX. The shuttle bus runs 8 trips a day from LAX to SB, with the ride taking about 2.5hrs. Buses pick up in Arrivals. From the drop-off location, you'll need to take a quick Uber/Lyft to your hotel. We recommend making reservations in advance.

Best Western Plus Santa Barbara

We encourage you to explore options, but if simplicity is preferred, we have a block of discounted rooms ($325/night) at the Best Western Plus Santa Barbara. Please call the hotel at 805.682.7277 to book directly and reference "Lieberman Wedding Block." This hotel is about 1 mile from our venue.

In addition to the Best Western Plus, there are many other hotels and inns to consider. Some are within walking distance of our venue, or in lively parts of town like Lower State Street and the "Funk Zone" / beach area. Travel Note

Airbnb / VRBO

If you're traveling with a group or just prefer your own space, Airbnb or VRBO are good options. Rentals near the Funk Zone (~1.5mi away) will allow you to walk to some of the best tasting rooms and restaurants. Homes towards the foothills often have ocean views.
