Due to being great friends with Colin's sister Sydney, Julianna attended Colin's high school graduation party. Julianna talked with Colin about getting her wisdom teeth out in the near future, and he stated he had gotten them out previously. Julianna got Colin's number to talk about the surgery, and the rest was history. Julianna reached out to Colin, and the couple had their first date at a golf course, which is fitting if you know Colin. Julianna kept hitting her head on the golf cart, as this was her first time golfing, but Julianna tried to play it cool. Colin and Julianna dated throughout college, and after a brief hiatus, they came back together after college graduation. Julianna and Colin moved in together in April of 2023, and they have two cats together, Kitty and Tito.

Colin and Julianna went camping at Wilderness State Park with Colin's family, as they do every year. Colin told Julianna he wanted to take pictures at a secret location while they were on vacation. Julianna and Colin went to take pictures at Pictured Rocks, and when Julianna turned around, she saw Colin down on one knee. Colin proposed, and their family/friends from the campground and Julianna's family were there to celebrate.
