Wedding Party

We'd like to thank each member of our wedding party for their love and support that we feel every day.

Danielle Gaines

Best Woman

Danielle is the best little sister I could have ever wished for. She is (and has always been) way cooler than me, and she is by far the funniest person I know. I have been her biggest fan since the day she was born - maybe except for when she was 2 and I was 5 and she punched me in the face. (I'm over it, I promise...) She is kind, generous, and an all-around amazing human being, and I am so honored to have her standing next to me on this special day.

Byron Revels

Best Man

Byron is the best big brother. Aside from Andrew, he is my first call in every situation - good news and bad. He and I have not always gotten along, but we've grown close as we've gotten older. He is now proudly my biggest supporter and he never misses an opportunity to make Andrew and I feel loved!

Gretchen Eng

Best Woman

I met Gretchen before even deciding to attend Vassar at an accepted students event in Chicago. We hit it off right away, and months later at freshmen move-in day, we found that our dorm rooms were right across the hall from one another. It was fate! We've been best friends ever since. Gretchen is the first person who introduced me to opera, which became a passion and then later on a career path, and I owe so much of who I am today to her. She is my ride-or-die best friend. (Gretchen also pulls the best pranks ever... Just ask my parents about it.)

Tricia Collins

Best Woman

Tricia and I have been friends since the 1900s (August 1999) and we have been through many firsts together. First concert sans parents, first full windbreaker outfit - and most importantly Tricia was the first person I came out to. We talk about anything and everything, and I leave every conversation with her feeling grounded and ready to take on whatever comes next!

Jacob Finkle

Groomsman

I met Jacob our first week at college, where we lived on the same floor, and we were in choir together for the next 4 years. Jacob (who we all call by his last name, Finkle) is a master of corny musical puns, and I'm sure he will share them with everyone at the wedding. Don't let him near the mic! (Just kidding...)

Laura Good

Groomswoman

Laura and I have been friends since we were in the same 6th grade class at Trinity Episcopal School in Charlotte (ask her to sing the school song after a drink or two!) After Clemson, Laura moved back to Charlotte and I moved to NYC, but we've always managed to stay connected. She says I'm the funniest person she knows -- whether or not that's true, she's the most beautiful person I know!

Alison Gross

Groomswoman

I met Alison (AKA Goodies or Shmalison) during the first few weeks of college, where we lived in the same dorm building. We were in choir together for all 4 years at Vassar, and we became especially close during our freshmen year choir tour to Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington, DC. We've been the best of friends ever since. Alison is the sweetest, kindest person I know, and I was honored to stand in her wedding in Cleveland last year.

Jenna Hamilton

Groomswoman

Jenna joined Sarah and I in our adventure moving to NYC in 2012. She was game to share a 1 bedroom apartment for the first 6 months we lived in the city, and we grew closer after Sarah moved away and we found ourselves again sharing a 1 bedroom apartment. This time in the dream neighborhood -- in the 80s on the Upper West Side. Jenna is one of the funniest and thoughtful people I know, and I'm so excited to share many more adventures (Scotland's calling) in the future!

Elsie Raymer

Groomswoman

I met Elsie (AKA E-$$$ or E-Munz) during our freshmen year at Vassar, and we became close friends over the next four years -- often pulling all-nighters in the library together. Elsie is one of the most incredible, driven people I know -- marathon runner, political campaign director, and now getting her MBA! -- but just don't fall for one of her pranks, let her near a kitchen appliance, or allow her to drive you to a grocery store in a hurricane without power steering.

Derek Revels

Groomsman

Derek, the eldest Revels son, is one of the coolest people I know. He taught me everything I know about IPAs, and I love getting to see him and his amazing family whenever I'm in Charlotte. We've gotta get back up to Asheville again soon, brother!

Jessica Revels

Groomswoman

How lucky am I to be getting another sister?! Jessica is Colin's sister-in-law, married to his brother Byron. (I'm also excited to be gaining a few new brothers-in-law!) Jessica was actually the first Revels family member that I met, when she was on a trip to NYC with a few girlfriends. Jessica made me feel so welcome in the Revels family from the moment we first met, and we've grown so close over the past 5 years. Jessica is an incredible listener, amazing at giving advice, and one of the most compassionate people I know, and her love and support of me and Colin has meant the world to us both.

Sarah Ware

Groomswoman

Sarah and I met during my very short lived stint at Alexander Graham Middle School in Charlotte. We (very) low-key starred in many a musical opposite each other in high school and summers in college, and I somehow convinced her to move to New York City with me Labor Day 2012. The City may not have been where she needed to be for long, but I am so grateful to her for joining in on that adventure because I would not have made it without her!

Miriam Wheatley

Groomswoman

Miriam has been one of my best friends since high school, where we met in band during our freshman year. I was too intimidated at the time to strike up a friendship -- I was awkward and truly *terrible* at the trombone! -- but luckily Miriam gave me a chance and we've been best friends ever since. Miriam is one of the most incredible, intelligent, genuine, and caring people I've ever known. I would often visit her in Washington, DC over the summers in college to spend the 4th of July together, and I was especially excited to be in DC this past summer to surprise her right after she got engaged!

Nicole Zee

Groomswoman

Nicole formally submitted her application to be my best work friend while we both worked at Carnegie Hall (please ask her to tell you this story!) and she has been one my closest friends ever since. We have worked many a black-tie gala, enjoyed drive-in movies on the Cape, and we have many ambitious plans for future professional pursuits. If you would be interested in financing our musical theater barn in the Hudson Valley, let's talk!

Jonathan Slawson

Officiant

Jonathan and Colin met while working in Development at Carnegie Hall in 2013. He was one of the founding members of the group of friends who introduced Andrew and Colin and supported their relationship in 2016. Jonathan is the most generous and selfless person we know, and we could not be more grateful to have him as a close friend and our officiant!
