It all started with a serendipitous Facebook post by Genna (Adam's cousin) on November 9th, 2020, on a page called Corona Crush, created by Jewish founders to help singles connect during the pandemic. Little did Adam know, his cousin had shared his information there. The very next day, Coley stumbled upon Genna’s post. Despite Adam living in New Paltz, about an hour and a half from NYC, Coley decided to take a chance and reached out. Genna passed on Coley’s information to Adam, who was initially traveling in LA and messaged Coley on November 16th. From then on, they found themselves messaging each other every day, leading up to their first FaceTime date on Saturday, November 28th — a date that lasted four hours into the night, ending only because it was close to 1AM. Their plans to meet in person that week were delayed when Coley contracted Covid. Despite concerns from friends that she might not be interested anymore because they thought she made it up, Adam still pursued Coley by staying in touch daily, even FaceTiming with her while she was sick. Two weeks later, they finally went on what they both describe as their best first date ever. Adam went all out, researching "how to impress a girl in NYC on a first date," and decided on Refinery Rooftop. On December 15th, 2020, they met in person for the first time at Refinery Rooftop and had an unforgettable time together. Their connection was undeniable, and they quickly planned their next date for December 19th. From then on, their relationship blossomed over three+ years, filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. On May 7th, 2024, Adam decided to make their love official. In the same place where they first said "I love you," Palm Beach, Aruba, he got down on one knee and asked Coley to be his partner for life.
