Chatsworth House
A beautiful Grade I listed stately home with a 105-acre garden and more than 1800 acres of parkland and historic woodland. It is one of Chloe's favourite places to visit at Christmas for their famous market but it is gorgeous all year round.
Hardwick Hall
We love visiting National Trust properties together and Hardwick is one of our favourite local places.
Bakewell
A beautiful town in the Peak District National Park, home of the famous Bakewell Pudding.
The Fox House Country Pub
This is one of our favourite spots for a Sunday roast. It's ideally located right by the Longshaw Estate, a beautiful spot for walks.
Longshaw Estate and Padley Gorge
One of our favourite walks in the local area, with paths suitable for all hiking abilities.
Matlock
Matlock is one of our favourite towns in Derbyshire to visit. Punnydukes is one of our must visit shops and they describe themselves as a "bizarre and immersive magical gift shop".
Red Brick Market
Red Brick Market is one of our favourite local shopping spots. It houses over 100 independent local businesses under one roof, from local artists, jewellery designers, vintage clothing, homeware, house plants and everything else in between! It is also right round the corner from Bramall Lane for all you football fans.
Sheffield Botanical Gardens
In Sheffield we're lucky enough to have Grade II listed botanical gardens with 5,000 species of plants in 19 acres of land. It's a beautiful place which is also one of Chloe's favourite spots to sit and read.
Cutlery Works
Visiting a food hall is one of our favourite date night activities and this is one of our favourite local spots. Cutlery Works brings together some of the best local street food vendors in one place and there's something for everyone, including Greek, Vietnamese, Indian, Mexican, Pizza, Burgers, Chicken and more. Let us know if you want some dish recommendations!
Wentworth Castle Gardens
A little further afield but this is a beautiful area of gardens, woodland and parkland, run by the National Trust. Within the gardens are the ruins of Stainborough Castle and it was at the top of this tower where we got engaged in 2023.
