Things To Do

Audubon Park

6500 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70118

Beautiful park with 1.8 mile circular walking path. Interior of park also has 18-hole golf course. There is a parking lot on the Magazine Street entrance, or street parking is available along Magazine Street as well as St. Charles. All of these parking choices are free. The park is a 2-mile walk from from both the Hampton Inn or Hotel Henrietta. Alternatively, the streetcar makes this trek quite easy - and enjoyable! Usage is $1.25/ride and can be paid in exact cash upon entry or electronically via the "Le Pass" app. Finally, the Audubon Clubhouse restaurant and bar located within the park has beautiful views of the golf course and is run by a preeminent restaurant group in town, Dickie Brennan & Co.

Magazine Street

Magazine Street is a 6 mile thoroughfare that stretches from the edge of the quarter to Audubon Park that contains great shops, galleries, restaurant, and bars. Some of our favorite spots are within the stretch between Jefferson Ave. and Louisiana Ave and include: Nice Restaurants - Shaya, Saffron, Osteria Lupo, Baru, La Petite Grocery, Lilette Casual Bites - Joey K's and Dat Dog Bar(s) - St Joe's (pool table, cocktail, and patio)

Rock 'N' Bowl

3016 South Carrollton Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70118

An iconic institution in town, as the name implies - this bowling alley features a huge dance floor that welcomes hundreds of patrons at any show. Thursdays they host zydeco bands while Fri-Sat typically feature local cover bands. VERY family friendly. For a nice dinner beforehand we strongly encourage Ye Olde College Inn located in the same lot (with the same ownership group). This is actually Christian's favorite restaurant in town! Parking is available on-site at no cost.
