Outdoors, followed by an indoor reception. The mountains cool off at night, so bring a light jacket!
No. Our venue is off a rugged mountain road, so for the safety of our guests, the venue requires that everyone use our shuttle service. You will need to board one of the following shuttles to ensure your attendance at the wedding: - The Hythe (Lionshead) @ 2:30 pm MT - Evergreen Lodge (between Lionshead and Vail Village) @ 2:45 and 3:00 pm MT The guests joining us at Piney overnight will receive additional instructions.
Vail is 8,150′ above sea level, and our venue is 9,350'. Altitude affects some of us more than others. We recommend playing it safe by staying hydrated, being cautious about your alcohol intake, and not over-exerting yourself. With less water vapor in the air at this altitude, the sky really is bluer in Colorado. But there’s 25 percent less protection from the sun, so sunscreen is a must. We visit Vail multiple times a year and have never had issues as long as we stick to the tips above.
No. Invitations are extended to adults only. Ask your hotel for trusted local babysitters should you bring your kids along for the adventure.
Suits (including ties and jackets) and cocktail dresses or jumpsuits. Please wear sensible footwear, as Piney River Ranch has no paved roads or sidewalks.
If you can join us, your presence is our present. We are so excited to share one of our favorite places with you, but we respect that it's not the most convenient. Should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
We are not changing our names. Please address any notes or gifts accordingly.
We are selecting various dishes and are confident everyone will have options. Don't hesitate to reach out if you are concerned.
Vail is most easily navigated on foot, as cars are not permitted within the town of Vail (Village and Lionshead). If walking is not accessible, you can travel between the Village and Lionshead via the in-town bus, a complimentary public shuttle between both sections of Vail. If you are staying outside the Village or Lionshead, both parking structures are free. There is also ample, reliable public transportation throughout the valley. We do not recommend using Uber, as there are few drivers, and it is costly.
