COLE + ELLIE

Cole and Ellie’s love story began with a simple swipe that turned into something extraordinary. They matched on the dating app Bumble in September 2021, and by their first date on October 16th, it already felt like fate had a hand in things. Ellie had recently graduated from Texas State University with her Bachelor of Science and was stepping into a new season of life. A life of adulthood in the city, one that unexpectedly and perfectly included Cole. Just ten days after meeting, and only two dates in, they went to a concert together. They each coincidentally had an extra ticket meant for a friend who couldn’t make it. Ellie was there for the opening band, Cole for his favorite band closing the night, and the timing couldn’t have been better as it led into Cole’s 24th birthday. Even Ellie’s famously selective cat, Kylo Ren, approved of Cole. It was a sure sign he was meant to stick around. By November 2021, Cole had earned a promotion at work and soon after asked Ellie to be his girlfriend. They were falling in love fast, and happily so. In February 2022, they took their first vacation together on a cruise to Belize, Honduras, and Mexico, where Cole met Ellie’s mom and sister for the first time. Just a few months later, he met the rest of Ellie’s family, who immediately knew Cole was someone special. By July, they had moved into a home together in North Austin and adopted their puppy, Cirilla. Between concerts and traveling to places like New York City, Cancun, Orlando, and Las Vegas, Cole and Ellie found joy not just in big adventures, but in the everyday moments. Playing video games together and with friends, building a life side by side, and celebrating love through thoughtful gestures, including the many bouquets of flowers Cole surprised Ellie with along the way. In 2024, Ellie picked up a love of reading, and soon bookstores and cozy nights with books became part of their shared rhythm. That same rhythm carried into weekly trivia nights, a tradition Cole and Ellie made their own. Laughing, competing, and showing up for each other week after week. By early 2025, Cole had already begun shopping for wedding rings, quietly planning a future he knew he wanted with Ellie. In August 2025, surrounded by shelves of romance novels in a bookstore, Cole proposed. The perfect setting to begin the next chapter of their own. What started as love at first swipe has grown into a lifelong promise, and they can’t wait to celebrate it with all of you.
