They say that you are most likely to meet the person you will marry before the age of 18 (even if you didn’t like him back then). Having gone to the same high school and running around on the fringes if similar circles we, of course, knew each other. But it wasn’t until after high school that we became more familiar. Did I like him? Nope. Not very much at all. But something drew us to one another and then BOOM we were living together and taking on the adult world like we had planned it all along. From Bothell to Ellensburg to Everett to Lakewood to Denver, there not a force that can stop us and we are truly blessed to be such a great team.
We can forget about me yelling at him about his commitment issues just days prior to the proposal and that he had to use a poker face as if there wasn’t a ring in his lunchbox a few feet away. I’m sorry babe lol. We took a trip with some friends to the ice castles up in Dillion Colorado; a gorgeous place with ice slides and LED lights and crisp winter air. “My mom wants a picture of us so she can see how big this stuff is!” I turned around to pose and there he was on one knee. All was filmed by our dear friend Amy and he asked me to spend forever with him and, if it isn’t obvious, I said yes (after a few shocked NO’s lol).
After what will be seven years together we finally get to celebrate with close family and amazing friends in the city that we have fallen in love with. We can’t wait to share this special day with our loved ones and show you EXACTLY what it means to be Dylan and Haley.
