Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black tie preferred. We prefer that men wear a tuxedo, but a dark suit and tie are acceptable. We prefer women wear a floor length gown.

Question

Where should I stay in Chicago?

Answer

We have a room block at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile and it is first come, first served. The link to book and more details are available in the "Hotel" section.

Question

All the room blocks are full, what do I do?

Answer

Contact the bride and groom via email: alec.samantha.coleman@gmail.com. We may have a room or two hidden up our sleeves!

Question

Is there parking at the hotel?

Answer

Yes, there is a discounted non-overnight parking rate of $32 at the InterContinental if you mention you are part of the Coleman/Smith room block. The overnight parking rate is $78. Additional nearby overnight parking options include NBC Tower Cityfront Parking ($48 for 12-24 hours), Rush-Ohio-Wabash Parking Garage ($39 for 12+ hours), and Legacy Parking Lot ($48 for 12-24 hours).

Question

What time should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 PM. We kindly ask that guests arrive between 5:00-5:15 PM CST.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

In order to allow our guests, including parents, an evening of celebration and the best experience possible, we politely request that only children who are part of the bridal party attend. We hope this advance notice allows you to be part of our special day and enjoy the evening off!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you are given a plus one, it will be labeled on your invitation and your RSVP. While we would love to include everyone, the size of our wonderful gathering has made it challenging to extend plus ones to all. Thank you for understanding!
