August 2025 is to mark and celebrate the time we’re actually exchanging vows and our 7th anniversary. May 2026 is when will have a big reception. If you’re invited to August, you’re also invited to May so save May 16, 2026 please
Hi friends, Hope you’re all having a great start to your week! We are really looking forward to being able to celebrate with you in just over a week! We wanted to send a couple of reminders and give a couple of updates. The backyard party will be at our place (2742 W Nelson St) from 6pm - 10pm. Everyone will have access to our apartment to use the bathroom or to hang inside for a bit, if you choose to. If it’s looking like the weather might not be cooperating as we approach closer to the day, we will send an update about any change of plans. We will be ordering pasta and salad for catering and will be making a vegan and gluten free dish for anyone with dietary restrictions. We’ll have plenty of soft drinks and bubbly water. There will be some beer as well, but feel free to BYOB if you don’t feel like trusting the sober couple with your choice of libations for the evening. Dress code: Wear whatever you feel good in for a celebration! We don’t expect anyone to be dressed too fancy, but also don't want to stop anyone from rocking their best going-out-fit. Band t-shirts are also appropriate! Also, we don't want anyone to feel pressured to provide any gifts for the celebration—your presence is present enough for us! Lastly, a reminder that in the upcoming weeks and months we will be sending out Save the Dates and official invitations for the big celebration next May 16, 2026.
