The attire is black tie. Tuxedos for men and a floor-length gown for women.
Due to lack of parking at San Fernando Cathedral, transportation will be provided for all guests promptly at 2:15 pm from Hotel Emma. For guests not staying at Hotel Emma, we suggest Ubering or parking at The Pearl. The buses will take everyone to San Fernando Cathedral for the wedding and then to Stable Hall for dinner and dancing.
Our wedding will be celebrated with a full Catholic Mass, which is the traditional and sacramental way the Church celebrates the Sacrament of Marriage. The ceremony will last about an hour. For those who have not attended a Catholic Mass before, here is what to expect: • The service will include prayers, readings from Scripture, a homily, and the exchange of vows. • There will also be music and times when the congregation is invited to stand, sit, or kneel. Do not worry if you are not Catholic, simply follow along as you feel comfortable. • As Catholics we believe in the True Presence of Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Those who are not of Catholic faith or who will not be receiving Holy Communion may approach the altar with your arms crossed over your chest and share in the recognition of spiritual communion and receive a blessing. Most importantly, your presence is what means the most to us. Whether or not you are Catholic, please know you are a deeply valued part of this day and we can not wait to celebrate this sacrament and moment of joy with you.
