Tori and Coleman were both students at Boyce College but had never met one another until the fall semester of both of their senior years. On October 28th, 2024, Boyce College held an event called Town Hall, where the students can voice their opinions on what should be changed to the campus. Coleman had walked up to the microphone and voiced his opinions on his convictions of worship, as he wants to be a music minister, which Tori wholeheartedly agreed with his views. After town hall ended and as dorm meeting was coming up, Tori walked up to Coleman outside of the chapel building and thanked him for voicing his opinions, stating that she also agreed with his convictions. After that short conversation, Tori and Coleman talked outside that same chapel every week before doors opened for dorm meeting. Then, on November 21st, 2024, things started picking up. At an event called the night before finals, a Christmas event that Boyce Student Life held, Coleman had walked over to talk to Tori. Shortly after they sat down together at the event and had one of the longest conversations to date, getting to know each other. Once the fall semester had ended, they both kept in touch over winter break. What first started as small, short conversations over GroupMe led to long, deep conversations that happened every other night for 4+ hours. Through these texts, Tori and Coleman grew a fondness for one another and developed feelings. Shortly before the spring semester was going to begin, Tori had subtly addressed what their relationship was going to be like. Although Coleman was nervous, he decided to take that opportunity to ask her out on a date once they reunited for the spring. If not obvious, Tori said yes. Their first date was on January 20th, 2025, which was when they made it official. After seven months of dating, Tori and her family had gone to visit Coleman in Virginia as they temporarily had to do long distance after graduation. On July 20th, 2025, Coleman took Tori to Maymont Park (which they visited over spring break together), and asked her to marry him. She said yes! They are so thankful that the Lord has brought them together and cannot wait to experience this next season of life together.
