Glacier National Park
We're so lucky to have Glacier right in our backyard! Depending on the weather, there's lots to check out: - Apgar Village is a popular historic hub located at the foot of Lake McDonald, just two miles inside the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. - Avalanche Lake is a 6-mile family friendly hike! Pack a lunch and enjoy a hike through the dense forest to a high alpine lake tucked in a basin with jagged peaks and rushing waterfalls. - Drive the Going-to-the-Sun Road, a breathtaking 50-mile scenic highway in Glacier National Park, Montana, that crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass.
Somers Beach State Park
Take a walk on the beach! The park offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy approximately half a mile of lakeshore access. It consists of a spacious sandy beach, which is accessible during the autumn when Flathead Lake is not at full capacity. It is bordered by the Flathead Lake Waterfowl Production Area (WPA) managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service on the east.
Harrell Forest Community Trails
Check out the fall colors on the Harrell Forest Community Trails. The Swan Hill Trail to Birch Loop is a 2.7 mile route, round-trip, with 300 feet of elevation gain. It encompasses abundant flowy switchbacks and a gentle loop through a birch grove. The entire trail, encompassing the Birch Loop on the way up, River View Trail and Summit Loop is a 7-mile round-trip route, with 750 feet of elevation gain. This route offers beautiful views of Flathead Lake, the Swan River, Swan Lake and Big Mountain, with relatively gentle loops near the top of Swan Hill.

Fall is a great time for fishing! Bigfork Anglers is a family owned fly shop and guide service. Located in of Bigfork, they offer professional Montana fishing guide services to anglers around Glacier National Park, the Flathead Valley, and throughout Montana.
Flathead Lake Brewing Co. Pubhouse
Sarah worked here for 12+ years! Great views of Flathead Lake. We recommend the pizza (and of course, beer)!

The best place to get breakfast in Bigfork! Cute and cozy with amazing food. They have been serving fresh, homemade food since 1960. Also a great spot for lunch!
