First Date

June 5th, 2023

We started as friends who met through a mutual friend, which turned into late night calls. Those late night calls were some of the best conversations you can have with someone to get to know if they're the one for each other. I soon asked out Kara, after many failed attempts, she had finally agreed to go on a date with me. I spent 4 hours on June 5th detailing my car head to toe, because I wanted everything to be perfect. I picked up Kara and met Mrs. Kathy as I got there. I bought them both flowers to make it all memorable. We had Torchy's for dinner then to a car meet where Kara got to meet all my friends I hung around. I had never seen anyone get so excited to engage in all the things I had interest in as well. Her eyes has this beautiful sparkle that was lighting up with every car we saw, which made my heart happy. It had shown me that it was all worth it. From that day ignited a fire in my heart which has sprouted into an eternal warmth.

The Battle of Long Distance

Difficulties

There were many doubts and complications with being across the country from each other. Our biggest issue was quality time with one another. With both of our schedules being complete opposites of one another, to trips, and work made everything difficult for us. Thankfully the one thing we are big on is communication and working things through. We never went to bed upset and always fought things out to get to a solution as one. It was rough to say the least but we survived. No issue is too great to sit down and work out with one another. Communication is key to surviving in a healthy relationship now.

Proposal

December 31st, 2025

I started planning everything in May of 2025, yes which may seem early, but when you know they're the one you don't want to wait! With how well things had gotten with us being long distance, making everything work, and figuring our future, I decided it was the next step that needed to be taken in ordered too further our future as one. I booked the tickets for us to go to the Botanical Gardens in Dallas along with her friend, Brooklyn and her boyfriend Austin, to come up to Plano for a couple days. Mrs. Kathy had taken Kara to look at dresses in November for the engagement. The day before Mrs. Kathy took Kara to get her nails done and celebrate her, little did Kara know it was her last day as a girlfriend. That morning I had never woken up so nervous, not that she would say no, which she did accidentally, but that it wouldn't be perfect. After that it was time, I went to pick up her bouquet and get the ring back from Kay Jeweler's after being cleaned. Our love expresses difficulties, ups and downs, and hard work which every relationship needs understanding.
