TEN YEARS IN THE MAKING

Our story began in high school in Mr. Wolfe’s precalculus class. I was a sophomore, and Evan was a junior. During a huge snowstorm, my now maid of honor, Olivia, asked to pick me up and hang out. What I didn’t know was that we’d also be picking up Evan and Dylan, and on the way there, Olivia casually told me Evan had a crush on me. I tried to act unbothered, but I was secretly so nervous. We stayed out way past curfew that night, I got grounded, and somehow that ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me. Not long after, Evan and I started sitting next to each other in precalculus class, and before we knew it, ten years had gone by. Over the last decade, we’ve truly grown up together. We’ve experienced incredible highs and difficult lows, learning how to support one another through every season of life. Early in our relationship, we lost Evan’s dad, and soon after became caretakers for his mom. Through it all, we leaned on each other and on God. Together, we made it through college, built careers we’re proud of as a firefighter and dental hygienist, renovated Evan’s late grandfather’s home with the help of our family, got engaged, and became pet parents to our sweet german shepard, Simba. Life has not always been easy, but through every challenge and every blessing, we have continued choosing each other. I truly believe God had His hand in our story from the very beginning, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us. We are so excited to celebrate our next chapter with all of you!
