It all started when Cole's family moved to Ponder in 2014. Late in our eigth grade year, Cole started at Ponder Junior High School where we shared an American History class (we were actually sat right next to each other)! While we were both quiet kids, Cole found Kayla on Instagram soon after starting at Ponder and asked for her phone number. As we began to chat, our friendship started. The following August, our high school careers began. We both led busy early teenage lives between varsity sports, first jobs, and all the thrills that come with high school. Despite our schedules, we frequently spoke and kept in touch with each other through school and mutual friends. In our junior year of high school, Cole asked Kayla out on a date to Chilis! About a month later, on October 13, 2016, Cole asked Kayla to be his girlfriend and we made it official. Those early years solidified the roots of our relationship to bloom into our adult lives. It's been a long time coming, and we are excited to walk into this new phase of life with family and friends by our side!
