The night we met, a friend begged me to go out one night. I pleaded that i wasn’t really up for it. I was still dealing with a broken heart and trust issues from a horrible relationship i had just recently removed myself from. Basically, I did not want to go! But as usual, she got her way. When we got to the bar, my anxiety was already through the roof, and the bar was basically empty except for the few regulars who sat at the bar. I ordered my usual drink and made my way to the dancefloor. Andrew spotted me in the crowd and made his way towards me. He asked me if i wanted something to drink. Me, a nervous wreck as usual, told him yes even though i already had one. After he handed me the drink, he simply just walked away. Didn’t say a word! I was so taken back at thay moment, that I didn’t even realize it was part of his master plan. I chased him! After several attempts at telling him how to pronounce my name, he finally got it right! We talked most of the night, just casual conversation. But when he talked, there was something unique about him that i couldn’t quit put my finger on. He was polite, but not too polite. He talked as if he was speaking to his mother. Now, if you’re from Mississippi, you know its basically an unspoken tradition to go to waffle house after the bar. We loaded up in the car and just drove. We drove mainly in silence, but somewhere in that awkward silence car ride, i could feel something. Almost like this calming sensation. I knew right then and there, I was going to do whatever I had to do, in order to keep him. I wanted so badly for this man to love me. To be the one! We truly believe fate brought us together. Neither one of us were supposed to be there that night, but the universe decided that our paths needed to cross. After that night, ive never left his side. He loves my two daughters from a previous marriage as if they were his own. Now we share a beautiful baby boy named Asher James. That night, April 18th, 2019, i met my soulmate!
