We first met on Bourbon Street of all places — both in town for the LSU vs. Clemson National Championship game. My friend I went with, who grew up with Billy, posted a few snap stories from our night out, and Billy asked if he could join. We all hung out the rest of the night, but at the time, I was in a relationship. That didn’t stop him from giving me his best pickup line before we parted ways: “Hey, when you’re single, hit me up.” I wasn’t exactly impressed lol. Fast forward to August 2020 — we ran into each other again at a mutual friend’s birthday party in Dallas. This time, I was single, and we spent the night laughing and flirting before exchanging numbers. We didn’t text much at first, just here and there, until November 3rd. That day, my grandmother passed away, and Billy reached out in the kindest, most thoughtful way. His words meant so much to me, and from that day on, we talked from morning until night, every single day. I like to say my grandma sent him to me.. Soon after, Billy started flying me out to Seminole to see him, and on March 9th, 2021, he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. After months of long distance, I made the big move to Seminole in October to start our life together. Four years later, on March 9th, 2025, Billy got down on one knee in the Bahamas, surrounded by both of our families, and asked me to marry him. Now, we are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our love story this summer at Horseshoe Bay Resort — our home away from home — with our closest friends and family.
