are children invited?

As much as we love your little ones, due to venue limitations and our desire for a more intimate setting, we are having an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding!

Indoor or Outdoor?

Answer

If weather permits, the ceremony will be outdoors. The ceremony will be followed by cocktail hour with access to an outdoor patio with overhang coverage and also the indoor barn extension. The reception will take place in the main barn, and it does have heat/AC features!

attire?

Answer

We kindly request formal/cocktail attire. We’d love to see our guests dressed to impress — suits or jackets for the gentlemen, and cocktail or floor-length dresses for the ladies! Think elegant, comfortable, and ready to dance the night away!

overnight parking?

Answer

Yes! Powder Major's Farm has accommodations for 72 vehicles to be left over night. The venue is located just 13 miles from the hotel blocks so a convenient uber trip/ride back the next morning if needed. We are providing transportation to and from Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Portsmouth and Powder Major's Farm. If you chose not to utilize our transportation, please plan a safe ride accordingly!

No formal welcome party - after the rehearsal dinner the bride and groom will be going to The Decks in Downtown Portsmouth for a couple of hours for anyone who would like to meet up! Timing & exact location TBD - details to be updated closer to wedding weekend!

Our dinner will be served Cocktail style - think heavy appetizers for 3 hours! There will be a variety of options, including vegetarian and meat-lover choices. Please notify Courtney & Jeffrey of any food allergies you might have. So far, there will be allergen friendly options for the following: gluten, tree nuts & peanuts

Yes! We'd love to keep the celebration going with anyone who still has the energy! The plan is to bus back to the hotels after the reception - feel free to swap info comfy shoes or a new outfit - and then head out for some bar hopping in Downtown Portsmouth. Exact locations will be decided the night of, so come ready for whatever the night brings!
